Fergus Scottish Festival & Highland Games 2019

For three beautiful days, the Whisky Angels taught class, drunk whisky, enjoyed the weather, and participated in the magic of Fergus. If you’ve never heard of it before, Fergus Scottish Festival & Highland Games is a three-day long event which takes place in Fergus, Ontario each August. While the festival itself boasts everything from tug of war competitions to a tea tent, we were there to operate the whisky tasting.

For $50, attendees received an hour of whisky education, tastes of five different whiskies, food pairings, and a custom Glencairn glass to take home. Over the course of the three days, we had everyone in our tent from famous Scottish authors to Jacobite reenactors! Truly, this is one of The Whisky Angels favourite events of the summer - in large part because of the unique sense of community here.
